The Fremont County Department of Transportation will be closing Phantom Canyon Road (CR 67) at mile marker 14 from April 25 through May 25 (barring any unforeseen circumstances).  Crews will be replacing bridge decking during this time, and signboards will be utilized to inform the public. The department appreciates the public's cooperation while they work to accomplish this task.

Canon City Museum and History Center announces coffee and conversation topic 

As this year is the 150th celebration of Cañon City, the history center would like to gather and preserve any stories or memories from past celebrations of this town and community.

This month's Community Coffee & Conversation topic is the "Centennial & 125th Celebrations for Cañon City". If you or someone you know were a part of either the Centennial or 125th celebrations of Cañon City please come join us for some free coffee and sharing of memories.
