Biodata
Dr Avinash Alva earned his bachelor's degree from KMC, Mangalore, and his master's degree in Orthopedics from RGUHS University, Bangalore. He spent 13 years in London and Melbourne, where he received international training and exposure to orthopaedic surgery. He is an expert in minimally invasive arthroscopy and muscle sparing joint replacement techniques.
He received his undergraduate surgical training in Yorkshire, a research fellowship at Wrightington, and specialised training in Northwest London. His subspecialist fellowships were completed in London (complex knee and elite athlete surgery), Melbourne (anterior hip and knee surgery), and Canberra (complex knee and elite athlete surgery) (Shoulder & Upper Limb)
