COVID-19 has altered the practise of community medicine in settings such as family practise and nursing homes, as well as hospital medicine. This article will discuss how the pandemic has changed community medicine's approach to dealing with uninfected patients. The medical system currently operates in a completely different manner. Patient compliance has become increasingly important as a result of the new, challenging adjustments. Because doctors see and check patients less frequently these days, they must rely more on a thorough history and clinical judgement, while still insisting on a physical examination when appropriate. Effective communication becomes more difficult and ineffective when masks are worn. Universal social isolation is a source of aggravation, especially for nursing home residents. Providing protection from the virus is a double-edged sword, as better protection leads to more misery. While continuing to provide high-quality medical care, we should all work to alleviate the pain caused by viral prevention efforts.
