**In response to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's allegations that Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter could incite hate crimes, Musk clapped back**

Elon Musk accused Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of flirting with him after she ranted that his acquisition of Twitter had stoked hate crimes.

He wrote, adding a blushing emoji to go along with it that she should quit hitting on him because he was really shy.

Elon Musk was responding directly to a tweet sent by the Democrat Representative earlier on Friday, which suggested he'd only bought the platform at the behest of Fox News host Tucker Carlson and his PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel.

She tweeted that she was tired of having to collectively stress about what outbreak of hate crimes was occurring because some billionaire with an ego problem unilaterally controls a huge communication platform and skews it because Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel took him to dinner and made him feel special.

AOC later responded to Elon Musk's dig by claiming she was actually referring to Facebook and Instagram owner Mark Zuckerberg.

She wrote that she was talking about Mark Zuckerberg, but okay, then deleted the tweet a minute later. It's unclear why she removed the message, with the Bronx and Queen's representatives yet to comment further.

Earlier in the day, Ocasio-Cortez took exception to Elon Musk's assertion that the far left had taken over the Democratic Party in recent years after he posted a graphic illustrating what he saw as the straying of the party left since 2008.

She wrote that the extreme left was taking over where, and that in Texas, Republications enacted a law permitting rapists to sue their victims for getting an abortion, and could anyone name a far-left policy that extreme enforced anywhere?

Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter, which was confirmed on Monday, has sparked cries of rage from numerous progressives online, while conservatives have welcomed it.

The entrepreneur has said he disagrees with censorship and bans Twitter currently levies on users who post what it considers harmful content or misinformation.

Elon Musk says he prefers time outs for rule-breakers, rather than outright bans.

He also tweeted his disapproval of Twitter's $17 million a year lawyer Vijaya Gadde and blasted her for censoring the New York Post's October 2020 exclusive about Hunter Biden's laptop.

Initially dismissed as misinformation, with some liberals even querying whether it was a concerted campaign by Russia, the contents of the computer have since been authenticated.

His behaviour has sparked howls of outrage from many of Twitter's current staff workers, who tend to skew liberal.

This man's hilarious, but he does have Asperger's syndrome, and like many people with Asperger's syndrome, some of whom have an extremely high IQ and are extremely clever could probably think of new equations while tweeting the most brilliant jokes that only high IQ people could get, but then I suppose that's a bit embarrassing isn't it because then you're attempting to publicly infer that someone else might have a low IQ, and he definitely knows how to accentuate someone's idiocy rather well - you've really got to be on the ball with him.

Of course, Elon Musk wasn't even born in America, he's South African, although he does now have American citizenship, and when he was a child doctors suspected he was deaf and they removed his adenoids, but his mother later decided that he was thinking in another world.

The family were extremely wealthy, and Elon's father said that they had so much money that at times they couldn't even close the safe, but Elon described his father as the most terrible human being and almost every evil thing he could possibly think of, he'd done - that must have put some stress on Elon's mental health.

Like him or not, the man is smart and pragmatic.
