⚡ #TheMarchCharge2022⚡ done rightπŸ’ͺπŸ€©πŸ’ƒ Marched all the way over and beyond the finish line today!πŸ₯³
It's a wrap for #TheMarchCharge2022 & the end of the beginning for #myConsistencyChallenge.

When I set my mind to a task that's within my control & effort, rarely do I back out. That's commitment 😊, regardless of motivation. March 2021 was an exception.πŸ˜–

Ticked off both my pledge of 5,000 steps per day every single day this March & $200 self donation (and a little bit more) this month for the Cancer Council in the memory of my loved ones gone too soon.

If you wish to support the Cancer Council's cause, it is never too late! Cancer never takes a day off.
You can still donate to The March Charge directly or via my page at

Via this year's challenge, I'm grateful for:

  1. Reaching my fitness goals injury/ailment free this month!
  2. Our 'Holy Fit' team. It is lovely to inspire mates & be inspired in return to keep going…
  3. Generous donors who dug into their pocket to support Cancer Council's work.
  4. Others I've inspired to get moving more
  5. Supportive friends who never fail to cheer me on.

That's why I started posting more again recently & shared daily updates of my watch's steps/km summary on socmed - to raise awareness, fundraise & inspire others while staying committed to my physical goals this March. Not to blow my trumpet.🀣

While some days I still grief for my loved ones gone too soon, I'm constantly reminded of friends & patients who've kicked cancer's ass.πŸ’ͺ It is only possible with the advancement in treatment, following research - an important part of Cancer Council's work, besides supporting the patients & their families through the life-changing times.

I've to share that this March 2022, not only am I overjoyed to be part of our Holy Fit team where we've been motivating each other & checking in from time to time…but, unknowingly I've inspired others to stay/be active. Not talking about my teammates here.

Doctors are the worse, especially those working in clinics when it comes to commitment to active lifestyle. We dish out the advice on healthy lifestyle almost mindlessly numerous times a day, but how often do we mindfully engage in it ourselves? Especially if you have a general tendency to laze away after a long tiring day, like yours trulyπŸ™ˆ…lagilah sedentary lifestyle! And no way I'll exercise in the morning on regular 9-5 workday…love my sleep too much & hate the cold equally as much, if not more.

A dear friend from interstate said a couple of times this month that I've motivated her to walk for the day. 😍 My cousin in Malaysia is inspired to start being active April (that's tomorrow) onwards. Glad to have motivated you guys…πŸ€—

Hopefully directly or indirectly, by sharing about Cancer Council's work in my first few posts, I've inspired more people to think of donating to them too…or your local equivalent. Malaysia has MAKNA (Majlis Kanser National).

I wanted to share more info on different types of cancers, those write ups didn't happen as much as planned. Otherwise, achieved all my goals affiliated with The March Charge this month!

Overall, this month, having achieved my fitness goals…I'm motivated to keep it going. The real challenge will begin as daylight savings ends this Sunday & in winter. It is already cold brrr…

This year, I told myself I'll make myself the most important person I need to focus on. I've been doing that and will continue doing so. Enough mental & emotional strain from listening to patients & solving their problem all day long at work.

Never felt more at peace than all my phone free days during my personal time. That will continue being a recurring theme for me as peace is more precious than even happiness, yet it brings me more calm and happiness as a result. 🀩

Plan to set new challenges for myself over the upcoming months. 😊

A quick sidenote on blogging & the FB page I created for my blog, recently a stranger messaged me via the FB page saying some of my posts from the past was helpful and sought advice regarding migrating to Australia as a doctor. I was surprised yet humbled. I was reminded why I first started my blog & shared not only the good, but the bad and ugly too…glad my words from yesteryears are still serving the purpose. πŸ™

When someone shares, it is a privilege to get a glimpse of their life. So I usually engage in posts I read. Appreciate all those who engage on my posts & stories too.😘

But when timeline looks boring, mindless scrolling happens…what a mindless act! 🀦‍♀️ For April, I'm planning to limit my time on phone & social media, especially the mindless scrolling bit & as a tool to fill in free time in between stuffs. Mindfulness isn't my forte, exactly why I need to work on it. Time to use social media more intentionally & judiciously.

Back on topic, till next year, so long The March Charge!πŸ‘‹
