Other climbers in the area reported the falling rocks and avalanche at about 9 a.m., park spokeswoman Kyle Patterson said in a statement. Several other agencies were helping with the search. Patterson said the Upper Beaver Meadows Road was temporarily closed for air operations. No more details were available.
