Dr Sharad Sharma is one of the most well-respected general and laparoscopic surgeons with over 26 years of expertise. Dr Sharad Sharma is an Active Member of a number of organizations, including the All India Association Of Advancing Research In Obesity (AIAARO), the Asia Pacific Hernia Society, the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI), the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), the Hernia Society of India, the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo-Surgeons (IAGES), the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology, and the International (OSSI). Fellowship in bariatric surgery from Cleveland Clinic Ohio US in 2009, Fellowship of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (FMAS) in 2008, Fellowship of Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons (FIAGES) in 2007, Fellowship in Advanced laparoscopic surgery (FALS by IAGES) in 2012, and a Diploma in Advanced Laparoscopic surgery, Gem Hospital (DLS) in 2003, all attest to his extraordinary abilities.
Dr Sharad Sharma received his MBBS from the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur in 1990, his MS - General Surgery from the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sewagram (MGIMS) in 1994, and a Diploma in Advanced Laparoscopic surgery from Gem Endosurgery Hospital, National Training, and Research Institute, Gem Hospital, Coimbatore in 2003.
