Kimberly Ann Ouellette, full-time lecturer at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, has been recognized by Marquis Who's Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in medical education.
Bolstered by two decades of experience, Ms. Ouellette is a proven expert in the field of education. Specializing in medical laboratory science, she has excelled as a full-time lecturer at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, her alma mater, since 2017. In this role, she primarily teaches courses pertaining to genetics, genetics and hematology. She previously operated as a BRISAH lecturer for the School of Medical Technology at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in Rhode Island from 2015 to 2018, and she was a pathology manager for Lifespan Health Systems from 2014 to 2017. Ms. Ouellette originally began her career in 2003, serving as a special services technologist at the Rhode Island Blood Center until 2009. As part of her dedication to her profession, she remains active as a member of the Massachusetts Association of Blood Banks and the Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies.
Outside of her primary professional endeavors, Ms. Ouellette also remains active as a volunteer with A Wish Come True Inc. Prior to embarking on her vocational journey, she pursued a formal education at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in medical laboratory science in 2003. She recently continued her education at the university, earning a Master of Arts in teaching in 2021. In addition to her academic credentials, she is also certified as a medical technologist, and she is notably proud to have earned her certification as a blood banking specialist. To wit, she is one of only 5,100 individuals who have earned this certification since 1964. Looking to the future, Ms. Ouellette hopes to launch a new nonprofit organization and publish her book on blood banking.
