Jackie D. Farmer, EdD, head of school at the Berean Baptist Academy, has been recognized by Marquis Who's Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in academic administration.
With more than two decades of experience to his credit, Dr. Farmer has excelled as the head of the Berean Baptist Academy since 2013, having originally joined the school system in 2002 as a teacher. Located in Fayetteville, North Carolina, he maintains his role as superintendent of the school, a position in which he oversees and works alongside the principals of four of the academy's divisions, in addition to overseeing other educational leadership and business operation duties. Adjacent to his primary duties, Dr. Farmer is also the owner of Jack & Angela Farmer Photography, and he remains active as a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. Outside of his primary professional endeavors, Dr. Farmer also serves his community as civic-minded citizen, regularly participating as a teacher for local Sunday schools, a pastor at the Berean Baptist Church, and a volunteer with various local charities.
Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Dr. Farmer honorably served in the United States Army National Guard from 1989 to 1993 and in the United States Army from 1993 to 2002, during which time he operated as an air traffic control radar technician and as an infantryman, respectively. To commemorate his military accomplishments, he was honored with an Expert Infantryman Badge in 1995. He also pursued a formal education, earning a Bachelor of Theology in 2002 and a Master of Theology in 2003 at the Andersonville Seminary. Over the course of his career, Dr. Farmer continued his studies, ultimately achieving a Doctor of Education at Trident University International in 2020. In light of his fulfilling career, he has largely attributed his success to his dedication to the advancement of his students.
