The biggest block party on Main Street is set to kick off at 3 p.m. Saturday in the 600 and 700 blocks, featuring live music, beer trailers, kids activities and more.
The annual Flashback on Main event, hosted by Fremont Community Foundation, invites the community to this annual event, which offers a night of fun for residents and visitors and also benefits the community.

"It's the best time you'll have on Main Street, ever, I can guarantee that," said Kevin Brown, event organizer.
The opening act begins at 5 p.m. with Colorado Keys, a mobile dueling piano show based out of Denver. This show provides interactive, lively entertainment through music to sing and dance along to.
Peaches Embry and Friends/Rhythm Train will follow Colorado Keys on stage. These musicians are "all about inspiring soul to soul through music."
This year's headliner is the Golden-based band, FinalEyesBand, a high-energy, live music show, that plays the biggest dance party hits. They bring the beat of 80's rock, today's hottest hits, and timeless classics.
There also will be many family-friendly things to do, including a bounce house for kids, food vendors a mechanical bull and more.
People should bring lawn chairs for seating, and possibly an umbrella.
This is a free event, but donations will be accepted for Fremont Community Foundation.
"The purpose of the event is to throw a party for our community to enjoy, but to raise funds for other nonprofits in Fremont County," Brown said. "We operate like the United Way, where we pass through money to nonprofits."
FCF gives as much as $50,000 per year to local nonprofit groups. Those nonprofits must be local and they are required to reapply each year.
In order to do this, FCF relies on funds from its annual events and parties, and its sponsors.
"Without our sponsors, we couldn't do this because it is an expensive event to put on," Brown said.
This year's top event sponsors are Royal Gorge Rafting and Zipline Tours; City of Cañon City; My Brother's Place; Kevin Brown with Keller Williams; Classic Furniture; Winn-Nelson Supplies; and Chris Freehling with Farm Bureau.
