Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 25 July 2023:This Dubai Summer Surprises, one of the biggest hits of the summer so far is Modesh World - which still has plenty of secrets to discover in its biggest and best incarnation to date. In this latest edition, everyone's favourite indoor edutainment experience has a whole host of new activities just perfect for kids and grown-ups alike.

A special attraction for 2023 of the seasonal spectacular is a series of themed zones, allowing children and parents to enter a magical world of surprises at Dubai World Trade Centre as they meet and mingle with Modesh and his best friend Dana. Live shows, thrilling rides, and educational workshops are spread across four seasonal zones to celebrate Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

The message from Dubai's favourite fun-loving characters is loud and clear; 'My World, Your Adventure' - and there is a warm welcome for anyone dropping in to experience this special corner of the city, at a special time of year. More than 200,000 visitors are expected to enjoy Modesh World this summer to take in some of the 350 attractions spread across 30,000 square metres of indoor entertainment.

And there are plenty of new ways to cool off this year in one of the region's largest indoor entertainment spaces.

MELT – ice cream zone

Home-grown and new brands from across the region are at the centre of the UAE's first specialised dessert in the desert event featuring a huge variety of ice cream combinations - only at Modesh World.

Like Modesh World itself, MELT is split into distinct zones ready to be explored. Step inside the Creamery in true Willy Wonka fashion to have a go at designing your very own flavours, with ice cream branded competitions and mini-events scheduled throughout across summer.

Instagrammers need look no further than the Sugar Rush zone, where ice cream-themed installations make for the perfect social media snap. At the Slab District, visitors can tuck into the finest food and beverage outlets inside Modesh World to sample some of the latest ice cream concepts and tastiest icy treats in town. This special zone features a Hero Pop-Up featuring a global ice cream brand and a roller skating rink by RollDXB to add that sprinkling of retro styling to the coolest place in town.

Workshops will reveal the secrets behind the art of developing unique ice cream flavours and the art behind the world's most popular dessert. Stretching across 4,000 square metres, MELT  is the largest ice cream festival ever hosted in the UAE with a huge variety of flavours to taste, and it's not just the usual popular flavours on show.  Visitors with an eye on their health can try a keto variety of ice cream and even one that is plant-based.

Gamefy – gaming zone

From retro-style video games to the latest console magic from PS5 and XBox, Gamefy has something for everyone to enjoy inside Modesh World. A holistic gaming experience has been created for Dubai's booming gaming community of enthusiasts and professionals, with a series of tournaments and activities lined up for gamers of all ages and experience.

Visitors can explore different gaming options across four different zones and pit their wits and furious thumbs against their rivals in the Gamefy League - a series of community-led game tournaments of different types and genres, where amateurs and enthusiasts compete for prizes.

In the Console Lounge, gamers can kick back to enjoy the latest video games and meet up with like-minded people to share hints and tips on how to beat the boss levels, complemented with a variety of well-thought-through amenities to cater to their gaming needs.

Popular games from the 1990s take centre stage at the Retro Arcade Arena - a designated space to pay homage to the favourite classic arcade games of a generation. The area is designed to evoke a sense of nostalgia and provide gamers with an opportunity to experience the games they grew up with.

At Tabletop ME, a special area is ring-fenced to focus on tabletop games. Everything from board games to card games, miniature games and role playing games are open for all visitors to this special summer zone inside Modesh World.

Food Court and Restaurants

A day out to Modesh World would not be complete without a welcome break at one of the huge number of food and beverage stalls open to give visitors a tasty treat this summer.

At Al Farooj, families can enjoy chicken with Arabic traditional and authentic spices. The family-run business has grown to become a favourite in the UAE, with every bite of Al Farooj taking diners on a crunchy and juicy journey inspired by the desert and Mediterranean flavours.

As the popularity of plant-based foods continues to grow, Plant Essence is providing culinary excellence and a diversity of flavours using high-quality ingredients and locally sourced produce.

Catering to the young at heart, Mini Corn offers a diverse and unforgettable food experience with high-quality ingredients and impeccable service to cater to all tastes and preferences. Innovation and customer satisfaction is top of the agenda to provide a delightful journey of flavours for diners.

Over at Corn Corner, diners can embrace the fun by tasting cotton candy, sweet corn, grilled corn and gourmet popcorn served up to all Modesh guests. These classic treats bring back memories of summer days spent at the fair or carnival, and are a perfect way to enhance an incredible family day out at Modesh World.
