Nagaland is between north oriental states of India that has a great potential of rice result. The people have great similarity for their own local rice and exult cultivation of their own native cultivars. The great diversity that endured within this domain can be valuable in selecting prominent cultivars for further bettering of yield and quality traits as these characteristics has become the main focus of edible grain breeder across the country. Not only for people as political whole of Nagaland, discovery of famous genotypes can be further useful for the neighbouring domain of the state because the climatic condition of the environment are somewhat related. Considering the influence of good quality rice on shopping and the need of high flexible rice sort to meet global demand of edible grain this research was taken up in ICAR-RC, NEH, Medziphema, Nagaland during Kharif 2020-2021 to judge the inter-relationship and partnership of quality and yield characteristics in 81 rice genotypes calm from various parts of Nagaland. Each genotype was evaluated for main yield and quality limits. After careful study, the general phenotypic equating coefficient was slightly above the corresponding genotypic cooperative of correlation. A important positive equivalence with grain yield was noticed in no. of filled grains per panicle, days to 50% blooming, no. of panicles per plant and days to maturity. A certain association betwixt yield traits and quality limits were also noticed. No. of filled grains per panicle, no. of panicles per plant and 1000 grains burden were detected to have extreme direct effect on grains yield per plant. The results of this investigation maybe used for judging direct of selection for bettering of yield and quality characteristics in rice breeding program.
