Title: Professor of Business
Company: Imperial Valley Community College
Location: Imperial, California, United States

Angie Ruiz, Professor of Business at Imperial Valley Community College, has been recognized by Marquis Who's Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education.

With 35 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Ruiz has excelled as a professor of business at Imperial Valley Community College since 1999. In addition to this position, she serves as a lecturer, a cooperative work experience coordinator, and a business club adviser at various universities and college campuses. Prior to these appointments, she began her career in the education sector at Imperial Valley Community College, where she worked as a business instructor from 1988 to 1999. Outside of her primary endeavors, Ms. Ruiz was active as the chair of the department of business at Imperial Valley Community College in 2012, and continues to contribute to the campus as a volunteer income tax assistance coordinator.

Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Ruiz pursued an education at Imperial Valley Community College, from which she graduated with an Associate of Arts in business administration and management in 1984. Subsequently, she completed a Bachelor of Arts in business administration and management at Loma Linda University in 1996, and then earned her Master of Education at California State University-San Bernadino in 2000. Ms. Ruiz has received numerous accolades in her career, including the President's Recognition Award in 2013, as well as the Employee of the Month, the Employee of the Year, and the Rafael Santos Award. She was featured in Border's Women Magazine the same year, but considers her students' success as her most outstanding achievement. She attributes her success to her family's support, particularly that of her husband. Her goal for the immediate future is to retire and travel more. Professionally, she intends to continue teaching as an adjunct professor and continue to make a difference for her students and community.
