Matthew Perry brought a sense of humour on screen and off screen, and now probably onto his next life in the afterlife.
He was a lovely person on the sitcom 'Friends', and I'm sure Matthew Perry won't be resting in his next life.
Sadly, Matthew Perry tragically died at his Los Angeles home at the age of 54.
At the height of his 'Friends' stardom in the 1990s, Matthew Perry romanced Julia Roberts, Neve Campbell and Baywatch celebrity Yasmine Bleeth in the space of just two years, yet he appeared to have died alone.
Matthew Perry had a long-standing affair with drugs and addiction and had dozens of life-saving surgeries, numerous trips to rehab clinics and spent $9 million trying to get clean as he struggled with drugs and alcohol.
Matthew Perry sadly died, aged 54 after allegedly drowning in his jacuzzi at home, however, no drugs were found at the scene and there was no sign of foul play.
According to law enforcement sources, first responders were summoned to reports of a 'cardiac arrest' at his Los Angeles home.
In 2019, he barely escaped death after his colon burst due to opioid overuse.
Just two years later he suffered another brush with death at a rehab facility in Switzerland where doctors administered a sedative which interacted with the opioids in his ravaged body causing his heart to stop beating.
However, Matthew Perry was the wise-cracking Chandler Bing in 'Friends', and Perry gave 'Friends' some of its finest moments over the years.
People are heartbroken that Matthew Perry has passed away, saying that he will be forever loved, always missed and never forgotten.
Of course, there are other important events going on in the world at the moment, but this unfortunate news of Matthew Perry is also a tragic loss that will touch a lot of people. We didn't know him personally but he always came across as a gentle and caring soul, and this was an extremely sad end to a clearly troubled life.
