The Judge Who Failed To Lock Up Three Pro-Palestine Protesters Wearing Hamas Paragliders On Their Jackets Is Now Accused Of Violating The Code Of Conduct

Angela Lloyd

March 3

A judge accused of being too lenient against three women who were not jailed after being found guilty of sporting pictures of Hamas paragliders on their jackets has now been accused of violating judicial rules in a separate case.

The three women, who are in their mid-twenties, were found guilty by Judge Tanweer Ikram of Westminster Magistrates Court of soliciting support for an organisation that is prohibited, a charge that carries a maximum sentence of 14 years in prison. Despite this, Judge Ikram did not impose a jail term or community order, noting that the women had "learned" their lesson.

Ikram has now been accused of violating the judiciary's code of conduct by talking about jailing a police officer.

Last year, during a lecture, the deputy senior judge informed the pupils that he had 'horrified' the police by imprisoning an officer who had sent out racist WhatsApp messages, according to the Telegraph.

But the Court and Tribunals Judiciary code of conduct bars judges from talking about 'cases they or colleagues hear', and they are told not to 'comment on matters of controversy.'

Ikram reportedly told students at the College of DuPage in Illinois, 'I sent somebody to prison recently.

'It was a police officer. He was on a WhatsApp group and was sending messages to all his fellow police officers, which were disgustingly racist. And he said it was a private group.'

His comments are understood to have been in reference to the case of James Watts, a former cop who was jailed in 2022 for sending grossly offensive messages.

Watts, who served with West Mercia Police, shared around a dozen offensive memes in a group chat, which included former colleagues at a Warwickshire prison.

A white dog dressed in a Ku Klux Klan costume was depicted in one of the memes he posted, while George Floyd's face was on a kneeling mat in another.

Ikram said at Watts' sentencing hearing in 2022: 'At the time of these offences, you were a police officer—a person to whom the public looks up to to uphold the law—but you did the opposite.

'Your behaviour brings the criminal justice system as a whole into disrepute. The hostility that you demonstrated on the basis of race makes this offending so serious that I cannot deal with it by a community penalty or a fine.'

Judges who are known to hold strong opinions are required by judicial guidelines in the 2023 guide to carefully evaluate whether or not to hear a certain case.

We all know absolutely nothing will happen to him. It will be called a misunderstanding, and it will be forgotten by this time next week. This is clear double standards motivated by prejudice. This judge needs to be suspended and all his cases re-examined.

Hopefully, this judge will be barred from all courtrooms since he is unfit to preside over any proceedings.

The enemy truly is within!

This judge should be suspended or removed for being biased; it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to learn that many of our UK institutions are populated by individuals who share his opinions.

The nation doesn't need another rule-bending judge like him.

It appears that a large number of our powerful individuals have allegiances to nations other than this one. When their allegiances are elsewhere, how can one serve the interests of this country?

We have been thoroughly brainwashed, and it will never leave our system.
