Starting on Wednesday, the Colo. 115 on-ramp to eastbound U.S. 50 will be closed, with detour routes in place.

The closure will be in place 24/7 until further notice.

The recommended detour route is to take Colo. 115 to Colo. 120, then head east to access eastbound U.S. 50. The detour route will add approximately 10 miles and 7 minutes to travel times, depending on time of day.

Signs and construction devices will be present to alert motorists to the ramp closure and other detour routes.

Weekly Traffic Impacts – June 2-8

Colo. 115: 24/7 single-lane configuration, with alternating directions of traffic managed by temporary traffic signals. Colo. 115 is in a 24/7 single-lane configuration until further notice. The southbound lane of Colo. 115 is closed, with alternating directions of traffic being routed into the open northbound lane via temporary traffic signals. Motorists can expect delays during these alternating traffic holds.

Delay times will vary depending on time of day or night. Extreme caution is advised when proceeding on green through the signalized area as visibility is limited. No left turns on red are permitted; lanes are narrowed and speeds are reduced.

Flaggers, signs, and message boards exist to alert the public to closures and restrictions within the work zone. The project limits on Colo. 115 extend from MP 12.76 to MP 14.01.

Construction schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change. Work includes striping lanes, moving barriers, shifting traffic, closing the ramp, removing asphalt and building embankment areas.

Eastbound U.S. 50 off-ramp to Colo. 115: 24/7 onsite detour. Eastbound U.S. 50 off-ramp traffic to Colo. 115 is in a temporary configuration onto onsite detour pavement. The off-ramp detour configuration is in place 24/7 until further notice. Caution is advised as the temporary off-ramp is shorter and requires a sharp 90-degree turn. No lane closures are expected on mainline eastbound U.S. 50.
