Yesterday's informative CataractCoach podcast featured Dr Gary Wörtz and we spoke about a challenging case that he recently completed. This is the video of that case. It starts out as a routine dense cataract and even the capsulorhexis goes smoothly. But then when he starts to chop the nucleus, the entire lens and capsular bag shifts. With the trypan blue dye stained capsule it is easy to see this movement of the lens which signifies extensive zonular laxity.
