The Blue Spruce Gallery, located at 205 W. Main St., in historic downtown Florence is proud to host an exhibition of Rose Starling's newest paintings. Starling has put together a diverse and entertaining show that is vibrant. Her paintings of animals, of the Colorado mountains, and of the beauty that surrounds us are exceptional. The opening reception is from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10 at the Blue Spruce Gallery in Florence.
Starling is one of the newer members in the gallery, but she has been a professional artist for decades. Her paintings are detailed and sure to catch your eye. She has won awards in professional shows and loves to teach classes.
Come on Second Saturday and meet the artist. The back garden area will be open, and there will be light refreshments and good conversation. In addition, there are events throughout town for the monthly "Second Saturday". Many of the downtown merchants offer specials on Second Saturday, and there are numerous restaurants available for dining after the reception.
The exhibit hangs through Sept. 9.
