πŸ’š OT Tip-of-the-Month for More Joy & Ease in Daily Life
November's tip is all about practicing gratitude. Research shows that gratitude has amazing benefits for both children and adults—it's a powerful way to boost well-being, improve mood, and support overall health. Practicing gratitude together can be simple and meaningful, like starting a new family tradition or sharing favorite moments of the day. At Outdoor Kids, we like to ask each child their favorite part of the day as we walk out of the woods, which helps them appreciate the experience and end on a positive note. Here are a few more ways you can practice gratitude with your family this month. 😊
☀️ Recommended Resource-of-the-Month:
Looking for ways to spend time together while building skills? Here is a great guide on how kids can help in the kitchen, with ideas for kid-friendly tasks that foster motor skills and confidence. 🌳 OKOT Story & Service Updates
This month, the kids dove into a magical activity using loose parts—a simple bucket and some old glass jars. They collected items from nature to create their own "magic potions," sparking so much creativity, imagination, and cooperation. It was incredible to watch as each child came up with unique ideas and collaborated to make their potions. This activity highlighted just how inspiring nature and a little imagination can be!
