By Marion Nestle August 27 2026 Cannabis edibles: an update of sorts I collect items about cannabis edibles and just realized nothing new has come in for a for a long time.  Not much is happening with these products since President Trump reclassified marijuana as a Class III (less dangerous) drug.  The FDA regulates cannabis edibles but has not said anything new about them for the last two years (since July 2024). TRE House products were found to contain an analogue of psilocin, a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) schedule I drug. All of the products contain 4-Acetoxy-DET (4-Acetoxy-N,N-diethyltryptamine) while most also contain 4-Acetoxy-DMT (4-Acetoxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine). Both are illegal psychedelics.
