May 13 and 14 will be an exciting weekend for Florence. It will be a three day extravaganza of fun.
Junktique's 25th Annual Antique and Vintage Market is coming on May 13 and 14 and on May 15 the 20th Annual Car Show will be in town. Blocks of antique, vintage and junktique vendors on Friday and Saturday and over 250 vintage vehicles on Sunday. These two events have long been a great venue for attendees and The City of Florence, the Antique Capital of Colorado.
In addition, the Florence Brewing Company is celebrating their 6th Anniversary on May 14. There will be plenty of live music- Voices of the Canyon for Saturday's Junktique and Tommy and the Cruisers for the Car Show on Sunday. Local restaurants and food trucks will keep the energy up as citizens enjoy the festivities.
The retail stores and restaurants are working hard to make this the stellar event of the season. Each year both have grown significantly to create a great experience for all that attend. The Florence Chamber and the Florence Merchants Association are committed to making this year's events the best ever.
Come join us by renting a booth space or just come and shop til you drop. The town will be filled with special finds, bargains and great food. We are still accepting applications for vendors and you can download an application for either Junktique or the Car Show at FinditinFlorence.com. See you there to enjoy the May 13-15 weekend.
CCPD hosted golf tournament slated for June 17
The Canon City Police Department would like to invite you to participate in helping them to be successful with their first annual golf tournament to be held on June 17 in Canon City at the Four Mile Golf Club. The tournament will benefit their Christmas Shop with a Cop event and also their Member's Benefit Fund. These events are substantial to our community engagement pursuits and member morale. If you are interested in becoming a hole sponsor or fielding a team for the event, please reach out to BJ Cerda at bjcerda@canoncity.org.
