| Hello! It is OT month and we are celebrating all things OT. Did you know that Pediatric OT's can help your kids with so many things? The ultimate goal of an Occupational Therapist is to increase independence in Activities of Daily Living (ADL). In doing so, the therapist addresses a broad number of challenges, including social-emotional, physical, cognitive, communication, and adaptive behavior challenges. Pediatric occupational therapy services, more specifically, focus on addressing feeding skills, perceptual and sensory processing, fine motor development, environmental exploration, play skills, and psychosocial skills. To break it down we are doing the ABC's of OT. Every day we will release a new letter and a new FREE resource! Make sure you check back each day to access your resources! Stacy P.S. Did you know that Play is considered a childhood occupation? How much fun is that, and it gives us grown-ups a chance to play too! |
