Background: Exercising during pregnancy is extremely helpful to both the mother and the foetus. It is critical for pregnant moms to have adequate knowledge in order to encourage them to practise it.
The goal of this study was to analyse pregnant women's knowledge and attitudes towards prenatal activities.
The study was conducted at the Isra Institute of Rehabilitation and Sciences in Karachi and the JPMC in Karachi. A total of 266 pregnant women in their second and third trimesters who were willing to participate in the study were recruited from various Hyderabad gynaecological departments. The patient's age, gestational age, educational background, and any previous known pathology were all evaluated. Face-to-face interviews and a validated and modified questionnaire were used to gather data with informed permission. A prepared questioner proforma was utilised to record all of the data. Data was analysed using SPSS version 20 and then described using descriptive statistics such as frequency tables, charts, and percentages. Results: A total of 266 pregnant women were questioned; their average age was 27.864.79 years, with ages ranging from 18 to 44 years. The majority of the women (54.97 percent) were unaware of the importance of prenatal exercise. 79.0 percent of women, on the other hand, had a good view regarding prenatal care.
Conclusions: The majority of pregnant women lacked understanding about prenatal activities, despite the fact that the majority of them had a favourable attitude.
